The appointment of eight&four comes after a competitive pitch process handled by The GO! Network.

Leading sofa retailer Sofology has confirmed their appointment of GO! Network members eight&four as lead social media strategy partners with an immediate start date.

The London-based agency will be working with the Sofology team to – amongst other things – breathe new life into their organic social strategy, drive customer advocacy, and creatively engage audiences with the brand.

The pitch process, handled by GO!, engaged 5 agencies in the first instance before completing in a two-way competitive pitch.

How it works: Agency pitch management with GO!

The decision wasn’t easy – on the quality of agencies involved in the process, Jan Duckworth, Brand Director at Sofology, shared that all were a "great fit for our team and brought the exact, specialist input we wanted. Brief answered 100%."

On what won eight&four the account, Jan cited the team’s personality and due diligence.

"[eight&four gave a] thorough response to the brief, were fully transparent, as well as showing that they’d be a great team fit."

Alex Engert, Group Client Partner Director at eight&four, echoed the feeling.

“We connected with the Sofology team straight away and really saw eye to eye on what was needed. Our extensive experience in infrequent purchase behaviours helped us to understand their audiences fully, and apply ourselves to the brand.”

On the reason for running the process through GO!, Jan shared, “We needed specialist agency knowledge and help with the clarity of brief to get a really quality shortlist, quickly”.

On eight&four’s experience of the GO! Pitch management process, Alex shared that “GO! were super helpful from the start, communicating frequently with us as to the brand challenges and supporting along the process - always available at the end of the phone!”

The teams will be working together effective immediately.
